Mentoring the Next Generation at NIF GLOBAL

Welcome back, fashion tech enthusiasts!

We are thrilled to share the details of our recent journey to India, where our founder Peter Jeun Ho Tsang and Beatrice Newman stepped in as international mentors to guide the talent of tomorrow.

Spanning both the Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar campuses, our sessions at NIF GLOBAL focused on a critical mission: blending deep-rooted local culture with modern fashion technology.

Peter Jeun Ho Tsang provided the strategic and commercial input necessary for students to navigate the complex landscape of the modern fashion business. He emphasized that for cultural heritage to survive, it must be economically sound.

To bridge the gap between theory and practice, Peter also showcased real-world applications of our work. A major highlight was introducing the students to T-Fashion, one of the standout startups in our portfolio. He explained how its predictive analytics are revolutionizing product development, helping fashion brands make data-driven decisions that drastically reduce overproduction.

Beatrice Newman brought a hands-on, creative approach, challenging the students to embrace new perspectives.

Hosting a dedicated crochet session, she highlighted the beauty of modernizing 100-year-old crafts into highly desirable wearable fashion. Beatrice encouraged the students to overcome learning barriers by going back to basics - taking the time to read and watch tutorials to master new skills that can ultimately define a unique selling point for their future brands. She also shared a vital lesson in collaboration, reminding them developing any successful business requires a diverse set of skills, and teamwork is just as crucial as individual talent.

A Deep Dive into Indian Craft and Heritage

India is home to the world's third-largest startup ecosystem and a textile history that is nothing short of sacred. During our visit, we were reminded that indian craft is not just a relic of the past; it is a living, breathing foundation for the future. From 900-year-old Patan Patola weaving techniques to intricate hand-embroidery, the skill of the artisans is unmatched.

Yet, a major obstacle remains: much of this incredible artistry lacks the commercial organization needed to grow. We believe the best way to preserve indian craft is not through museums, but by empowering artisans to build competitivefashion brands. By helping them transition to scalable fashion business models, we ensure this heritage remains a powerful global force for centuries to come.

Our Commitment to Global Talent and Education

Beyond Form's mission as a leading fashion startup incubator and venture studio is simple: to help fashion-tech founders build resilient companies. However, we know that technology is only as powerful as the talent behind it. That is why we are deeply committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of international fashion entrepreneurs. By expanding the presence of Beyond Form in India, we are opening a two-way bridge for knowledge exchange, ensuring that local heritage can benefit from global scale-up expertise.

A Major Announcement: The NIF GLOBAL Partnership

This trip was much more than a series of workshops; it was the foundation for something much bigger. We are thrilled to announce that a major, official partnership between Beyond Form and NIF GLOBAL is currently in the works. This collaboration will create a powerful bridge between our venture studio and their dynamic educational ecosystem. We are designing new pathways to empower emerging talent, equipping them with the tools and global network they need to scale their ideas.

This is just the beginning of Beyond Form's international expansion. Keep checking back for more news!
