“RESET FASHION” by Romain Liot: Beyond Form Supports the Book Launch for Structural Industry Change
This Earth Day, April 22nd, 2026, we took a decisive step toward driving change.
Our founder and CEO, Peter Jeun Ho Tsang, was proud to support industry leader Romain Liot to celebrate the official launch of his new book, "RESET FASHION: An Entrepreneurial Journey in the Murky Waters of Sustainability in Fashion".
Sitting down together in front of the brilliant IFA Paris community, Peter and Romain took a deep dive into the reasons behind this project. As Romain shared during the event:
"Coming from outside the industry, I initially viewed fast fashion as almost 'interesting' from a pure business and operational standpoint. But by 2019, working deep within the sector and seeing the brutal reality of its environmental impact firsthand, it hit me: things are getting bad. We have to do something."
This sparked a massive strategic shift within Adore Me, leading to its B-Corp certification and its acquisition by Victoria’s Secret in 2023 - an acquisition driven specifically by Adore Me’s superior fashion techinfrastructure and sustainability capabilities.
The Event: Discussing the Real Problems in Fashion
The core message of the event was crystal clear: moving the needle on the industry's environmental impact requires much more than just switching to organic cotton. Fabric dyeing alone accounts for 2-3% of global emissions and is responsible for about 20% of global clean water pollution. It is a process that has essentially remained unchanged for decades.
Overcoming such deeply rooted challenges demands a sustainable fashion company mindset rooted in strong, strategic leadership. It requires founders and executives who are willing to completely rethink their supply chains and long-term goals to build a truly sustainable fashion business.
Our Approach: Building Resilient Sustainable Businesses
This philosophy resonates deeply with our core mission at Beyond Form. We know firsthand that building a sustainable fashion company goes far beyond having good intentions. True sustainability requires a deep, uncompromising understanding of how the industry operates behind the scenes.
From leveraging fashion tech to optimize inventory, to understanding the complex economics of ethical manufacturing, it is about translating a green vision into a resilient, scalable sustainable fashion business model.
How FINDS Solved Adore Me's Surplus Stock Problem
A perfect example of this is the collaboration between Adore Me and FINDS, a standout startup from our portfolio. Instead of letting surplus stock become a liability, Adore Me leveraged the B2B inventory solutions provided by FINDS. This wasn't just a pilot; it was a demonstration of how a sustainable fashion company can solve the inventory crisis through innovation.
The partnership delivered immediate, high-impact results:
30,000 units sold within a two-month initial test order
Unlocked major US offline retail partnerships, turning deadstock into a strategic revenue stream
Rapid market expansion, securing multiple buying options within the very first month of collaboration
